Is the tourist pass worth it, or is a 10-trip ticket better?
It depends how much you move around. The 1-day ticket (€10.30) pays off if you make several long journeys, or if you come in from the airport by Metro, because it avoids the €3 supplement. For short stays on foot in the centre, a 10-trip ticket is usually cheaper. Do the maths: add up your planned journeys and compare with the price per day.
Note: the Airport Express (€5) is not included in the pass. Here is how to get from the airport to the centre.
An alternative for sightseeing: Madrid by tuk tuk
If your time is short, a private 2-hour tuk tuk tour with the Bernabéu saves you transfers and takes you to the key sights with a driver-guide. See also our guide to Madrid in one day.
